孟达对周围的变化浑然不觉，他仿佛陷入了一种“不觉”之境，有人亦称之为“无我”之境，此时的孟达眼里只有那一颗球，在他的眼里那一颗球跳来跳去，仿佛它在一条无形的轨道上飞行一般，而他现在便能感觉到那一条轨迹，他只需在球的落地点处站好便是，真可谓有如神助。
